A hardware "Appliance" box is installed at your organization's Internet gateway, AND constantly monitor its health (power, temperature, fan speed, Hard Drive health). This management includes all the software that functions to cover these security threats. It is a Firewall, it has anti virus software, anti spam software, intrusion detection and intrusion prevention software, content filtering software, URL blocking software, and has VPN facilities all built in to the Appliance.In addition - Network Box monitor the software revisions on the "appliances". So if a new virus appears, within minutes your system is updated and the organization is protected. If a new spam source appears it blocks that email address immediately (it identifies and redirects spam). URL filtering make inappropriate non work sites unavailable including URL's email. If your Internet link goes down - Network Box will see it immediately. If eMail services fail they will see it and report to you. Similarly if any hacker tries to hack into your Network they will see it and prevent it immediately and inform you (after they have protected you). If there is a virus or worm out break internally on your network (e.g. introduced from a Notebook) Network Box will warn you within a minute and stop any replication being sent out from your organization.
