Management of eMail system
storage
 Email is designed to be
a communication tool, but it has become the repository of
all communications, negotiations, agreements, and deals.
These communications are stored in folders and archives (pst and
Paf Files) and as such remain locked behind user security
rather than secured as corporate intelligence and a corporate
asset. Some personnel have very large eMail mail boxes, AND
some companies have very large Post Offices that can take many
hours to backup, and would be difficult to manage should they
develop a fault or have a critical failure.
Email archiving aims to store all eMail
in a central repository ( Database ), thus to become
accessible as a corporate assett, with an easy and flexible
search, find and retrieve engine, at the same time satisfying
Corporate Governance (SOX and JSOX etc) and legal
compliance.
